Sunday School at St. Olaf is an exciting place to be on a Sunday morning during the school year. Our age groups study and have fun learning using different curriculums.
Pre-school and kindergarten classes enjoy using the "Witness" curriculum from Augsburg Fortress. Following class time, they meet for singing and closing in the "Noah's Ark" room - a colorful and attractive learning space.
Grades one through six actively participate in Workshop Rotation Model classes. One lesson is taught for four weeks in six different ways giving the students varied learning style opportunities. Recently redecorated rooms offer unique classoom settings.
Middle School classes meet weekly in the "Bell Tower" using varied curriculums. Sunday School attendance is a Confirmation requirement.
The High School class enjoys great discussions on their couches in their newly carpeted and painted surroundings. A relaxed and inviting atmosphere - plus good teachers - make getting up early on a Sunday morning the thing to do!
We have a very strong education program here at St. Olaf, but are always looking for new ways to teach God's Word. Congregation members are invited to join the Education Committee as well as teach classes in order to fulfill our Mission Statement of serving God and teaching God's Word. |
